Fourteen competitors travelled to Lorne to compete in Life Saving Victoria's Open Senior Carnival on Sunday. The team comprised 6 females and 8 males. Senior competitors Anna Quinn, and Jessica Meek, mentored junior members -Freya Parrotte, Veronica Hart, Eve Aulsebrook and Danielle McKinnon. Senior males, Philip and Stephen Kerr, who coach the squad guided their Board and Ski members through a number of events and were delighted with the results that were achieved. The male competitors included - Under 19, Jack Aulsebrook, Henry Mahoney, John Hart, and Jackson Fary. Under 17, Ned Aulsebrook. Under 15 Greg Hart. Results Open Men's Board 1st Stephen Kerr Open Men's Double Ski 1st Phil & Stephen Kerr Under 19 Men's Board 1st John Hart Under 19 Ski Relay 1st John Hart, Jackson Fary and Ned Aulsebrook Under 19 Board Relay 1st John Hart, Jackson Fary and Ned Aulsebrook Under 17 Men's Board 1st Ned Aulsebrook 2km Beach Race 1st Anna Quinn Open Single Ski 2nd Philip Kerr Open Mixed Double 4th Philip Kerr, Jessica Meek Open Ski Relay 4th Stephen Kerr, Philip Kerr, John Hart These results hold the team in good stead as they prepare for the Senior Victorian Surf Life Saving Championships, which will be held on the long weekend in March in Lakes Entrance. The competition squad still have a further carnival to compete in. They will travel to Fairhaven in two weeks to test their skills in the open seas. |
