2008 Victorian Masters Championships Print

The Warrnambool Surf Lifesaving Club is proud to have club members competing in the Victorian Masters Championships on Saturday 16th February at Lorne

The 2008 Victorian Masters Championships continues to be a highlight for all masters competitors aged from 30 years plus.   A number of  Senior members  from the club have been training during the year and specifically during the summer to refine their skills and fitness .  This event will be the highlight for the season for the Club Boaties  - John McNeil, Toby Pettigrew ,Gary Askew, Damien Thornton and Stuart Titmus who have committed  to training at 5.30am for the past months. This will  be the first year that the  Boat crew has competed at the Masters level and they are keen to ‘give it their best shot”  The club will also be represented in the ski  paddling events by the Owen Brothers – Rodney , Mark and Micheal who have been Australian title holders  in previous carnivals . The 2008 event is expected to draw some 300 competitors
