Being part of Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club means you are a part of the surf lifesaving community throughout Australia. As such communication is varied and plentiful! However most of this “chatter” is irrelevant to most of our members. Therefore the Committee filters this information and will relay relevant information via a number of channels.
Team App represents our primary means of communication between club members, it is accessible from any phone or web browser and can be sent alerts for urgent messages. Inside the App you will find a number of groups, the main one to “join” is All Members (General Club Info), others are specific to the various areas of the club. Nippers, Patrol, Junior Comp Squad and Senior Comp Squad.
Facebook, Email and Website
Whilst most internal communication will occur via the Team App, we also use Emails, Facebook and this website to provide all the information you will need to fully participate in the club. Emails are generated via the Life Saving Victoria Portal and is another reason all members must ensure their details are up to date on that system at the start of each season. Major events will be broadcast on Facebook and will usually have a “news” item on the website under Club News, the website will generally have more detailed information including links etc.
