Mission

To redevelop the Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club* and surrounds to ensure we have a club facility that is fit-for-purpose for modern life saving requirements, to meet the demands of increased beach visitation and to provide a central point of gathering on the foreshore for community events.

Vision

The proposed renewal of the precinct will provide access for all ages and abilities, gender neutral change rooms, accessible parking spaces, and improved beach access to the patrolled area. The proposal will provide better configuration of spaces for club and community activities and allow for growth in population and emergency service needs.

Landscape

The proposed building design blends into the foreshore landscape, provides solutions for pedestrian and emergency vehicle access to the beach and along the foreshore path and enables protection of the precious sand dunes and native coastal vegetation.

Community

The updated multifunction facilities and balconies will assist surveillance along the coastline by lifesavers and will enhance a community connection with the vast expanses of Lady Bay. This will be a state of the art community asset built for 21st century life saving and education needs.
